The Comet Grill is an award-winning restaurant and bar located in the Dilworth neighborhood. Many associate this pub-style establishment with excellently prepared food, while music lovers enjoy free live bands every night of the week. Our patio is dog-friendly and boasts a really killer widescreen TV box for sporting events.
Established in 1996, The Comet Grill has consistently been a supporter of local charitable causes and has hosted countless benefits for organizations with strong local ties. Our events have benefitted Rock for a Cure, Holy Angels, Pancreatic and Breast Cancer Research, and the Second Harvest Food Bank to name a few. The Comet Grill maintains strong neighborhood ties and serves as a gathering place for locals, and a destination for those who enjoy a friendly, close-knit environment.
The Comet Grill will again host the Sunshine Art Festival on Sunday, August 16. Last year's event was so well received that we have expanded and will offer more diverse performance art in addition to the artists' booths and live music. Some additions include the Behailu Academy Summer Camp performances, Aerial Charlotte- an aerial silk acrobatic dance program and Firestorm, a multi-media fire dancing troupe. We will also have kid-friendly activities, a dunk tank benefitting the Humane Society, and Homer, the Charlotte Knights Mascot. This year's proceeds will benefit the UMAR Arts Center, Behailu Academy and the Humane Society. We are committed to providing a safe, family-friendly festival atmosphere and we look forward to having an excellent turnout on the 16th!
